Here’s another project that’s been in the pipeline since the end of 2020. Back then, I designed a PCB for a Trainwreck Express-inspired amp. As far as I remember, I thought it would be an interesting idea to fuse this classic, mythical amp with a modern design and layout of my own, and see/hear where this project would take me. It also serves as a nice and simple starting platform for modding and experimenting. So, at the end of 2024, I revisited the project after a long break from recording, producing, and music in general, and started designing the faceplates and assembling all the missing parts.

All the metalwork and mechanical assembly are now finished, and I will start wiring everything up and testing it in the next couple of weeks. Once completed, I will also publish a complete schematic and possibly the wiring layout. However, there are admittedly endless options and information available for these kinds of amps, so this will mostly be for my own future reference.

Some quick facts about the setup:
- transformers are the trainwreck ones from tube-town
- chassis and other stuff also from tube-town
- PCB design is my own
- probably will be running it on 6V6 tubes
- no standby switch, because those are BS
Will post an update, after the wiring is finished and the amp is up and running.
